Together with TenneT and Genpower, they found the collaboration to realize this drilling project. Never before had hydrogen been applied on a large scale within a construction project. Until January 2024. Then A.Hak and TenneT, together with Genpower and Kuster Energy, realized the world&#8217;s very first &#8216;H2DD&#8217;: a fully emission-free drilling powered by green hydrogen (H2).    <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><div class=\"g-cols wpb_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-6 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"w-image has_ratio align_none\"><div class=\"w-image-h\"><div style=\"padding-bottom:56.25%\"><\/div><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"767\" src=\"https:\/\/ahak.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/dji-0829-hdr-kopie-1-1024x767.webp\" class=\"attachment-large size-large\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_col-sm-6 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>How does hydrogen drilling work?<br \/>\n<\/strong>The principle in hydrogen drilling is that the hydrogen generator supplies directly to the drilling rig. During higher power demand, the battery pack supplements, and during lower power demand, the battery pack is recharged. The collaborations on this project are with Kuster and Holthauzen for green hydrogen and with Genpower for the hydrogen generator.<\/p>\n<p>With this machine and this drilling, we are focusing on the future with a focus on safety, sustainability, and efficiency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For the future<br \/>\n<\/strong>The pilot in Bergen op Zoom contributes to the learning process about emission-free and low-emission work. TenneT and A.Hak therefore explored together the conditions and challenges in this area. Think, for example, of the \u2013 still \u2013 limited availability of electric equipment.
