From the Prinses Beatrixlaan in Rijswijk, the route largely runs along the A4 towards Leiden. The project includes a heat transfer station and a peak &amp; backup installation near Leiden.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Sustainable future<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Netherlands is working towards a climate-neutral future by 2050. WarmtelinQ makes a significant contribution with an open heat transport network in South Holland. Multiple (sustainable) sources can connect to this network. This is already happening with residual heat from the Port of Rotterdam. Heat that would otherwise be lost is now being reused to warm approximately 120,000 homes and businesses. This means less natural gas consumption and an expected reduction of 180,000 tons of CO\u2082 per year.     <\/p>\n<p><strong>Planning and execution<\/strong><br \/>\nWarmtelinQ expects to start work at multiple locations along the route next spring. The construction method varies by location: we drill under the A4, A12, A13, and A44 highways and under the ProRail and RandstadRail tracks to avoid disrupting traffic. Along the A4 and the Corbulo tunnel, in the peat meadow area of Stompwijk and the Oostvlietpolder, the ground is soft. Therefore, we will partially plow in the pipeline here. At several other locations, we will install the pipeline through open excavation. This way, we minimize disruption to the surrounding area as much as possible.     <\/p>\n<p>Inge Aardse, Director of Heat Transport at Gasunie: <em>&#8220;It&#8217;s great news that today we&#8217;re further shaping the heat transition in South Holland. The more sustainable heat we use in the province, the less gas we burn and the less CO\u2082 we emit. This included the development of planning, work plans, and permit applications.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Once the detailed planning for each location is ready, WarmtelinQ will inform residents and businesses about the start of the work and measures to minimize disruption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Through the BouwApp<\/span><span> <\/span><span>interested parties<\/span><span> <\/span><span>can<\/span><span> <\/span><span>follow the project.
