Energy network: ready for the future

Project Oudehaske

Innovative work in the construction team

The grid reinforcement at Oudehaske was prepared by a joint project team, known as a construction team. This involved close collaboration between the client and contractor, making A.Hak and Alliander appear almost as one team. “In this project, the directional drilling became longer than ever before through technical innovation. In this team, you could see that we stand together for the job, maintain healthy critical perspectives of each other, and improve together. The construction team has performed with operational excellence.” The project at the Oudehaske substation clearly demonstrates how Liander is preparing the energy network for the future. Twelve projects are being bundled at this location.

Customers are being connected while simultaneously ensuring an overall grid reinforcement in the Heerenveen area. For this project, 24 directional drillings are being carried out, partly with our own sustainable 22t drilling rig. The casing pipe used in this project is from supplier PION and is made from recycled material. The casing pipes are used for installing medium-voltage cables, connecting various end users to the Oudehaske substation.

What makes
the plastic casing pipe unique?

The casing pipe is made from 99% recycled material. The material is just as applicable as new material and therefore excellently suited for protecting power cables. Moreover, this casing pipe can be used perfectly for horizontal directional drilling.
