A.Hak has reached an agreement with Royal BAM Group regarding a proposed acquisition. For more than sixty years, A.Hak has specialized in critical underground infrastructure for electricity, water, gas, and heat, and will continue to operate independently within BAM, under its own name and with its current management. Together, A.Hak and BAM aim to provide even better support to customers as they tackle the major challenges of the energy and water transition.
Henk Herremans, CEO of A.Hak: “In recent years, A.Hak has established a leading position in the construction of underground infrastructure, with a strong foundation for further growth. In BAM, we have found a strong and committed long-term partner that, like us, prioritizes safety and quality and is fully committed to the energy and water transition. Together, we’ll gain the scale, expertise, and investment capacity to realize our ambitions more quickly, while preserving what makes A.Hak successful: our people, an entrepreneurial culture, extensive technical expertise, and a consistent focus on the customer. We are particularly pleased that A.Hak will play a central role in the further development of BAM’s activities in the co-development of energy and underground infrastructure. Together, we will create new opportunities for our employees and customers, and make an even greater contribution to the vital infrastructure that society needs.”
The transaction is subject to the usual conditions, including regulatory approval and the advice of the works council. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
