As of January 1, 2022, a new whistleblower policy has been implemented within A.Hak. This is an essential part of our compliance program.

EU Whistleblower Directive

  • Reports must be able to be submitted both verbally and in writing, and in a confidential (anonymous) manner.
  • Made available to employees, but also to customers, suppliers and other business partners.
  • Reporters should receive confirmation of receipt of their report within 7 days.
  • A substantive response from the organization should follow within 3 months.
  • Reversal of the burden of proof: where previously the whistleblower had to demonstrate that they had suffered disadvantage as a result of their report, under the new legislation the employer must demonstrate that an adverse decision regarding an employee is not the result of a previously made report.
