Distribution networks

A stable and safe distribution network forms the foundation of our society. A.Hak designs, installs and maintains distribution networks for gas, water, and electricity. As a reliable partner for grid operators and municipalities, we ensure that households and businesses always have access to essential utilities.

With an eye for sustainability and minimal disruption, we realize projects in existing areas and new construction. Through our years of experience in underground infrastructure, we combine craftsmanship with modern techniques, enabling us to play an important role in the energy transition.

A good project example within A.Hak’s Distribution expertise is the Infranet project in Varsseveld and Ulft, executed in collaboration with grid operator Alliander. At first glance, it seems like a standard job: installing underground medium-voltage cables. But much more is happening below ground level. This project combines technical precision with ecological care and human involvement. The work includes directional drilling (HDD) and careful excavation in areas with possible presence of unexploded ordnance.

There was intensive collaboration with local farmers, where A.Hak not only technically coordinated the route, but also made agreements about access to plots and compensation for disruption. Homes were connected to the network and space was created for feeding back sustainable energy.
